Phillip Lim: The Making of a Dress

My love of Phillip Lim's work is no secret and not only does the spring collection go on sale today but they have released a fascinating video of the making of the finale dress. I was deeply inspired by the Picasso exhibition at the Gagosian gallery last year and it was exciting to hear that it inspired Phillip's spring collection including this amazing dress. The workmanship that went into making it is seriously on par with couture. Definitely check it out!

Phillip Lim at Home

I'm a huge fan of fashion designer Phillip Lim's clothing and jewelry and have always wanted to see inside his home. The New York Times Magazine gave us a little peek this weekend along with a question and answer feature. I love the floor to ceiling shelves above but still dying to see more. I hope another magazine will give us the full tour soon because these few pics were definitely not enough!

Blair Waldorf is also a fan of Phillip Lim and has worn a few of his fabulous frocks on Gossip Girl. As excited as I was to see inside Phillip's apartment, I'm even more excited that GG is starting back up tonight. It had just better not be as boring as the first half of the season or I think some fans are going to go all Georgina Sparks on the writers! XOXO!

I Heart Phillip Lim!

How do I love Phillip Lim? Let me count the ways...beautiful dresses, gorgeous knits, fabulous necklaces...you get the idea. I've been wearing Phillip Lim for a few years now and am always surprised that even though they may at first appear simple, his clothes are full of interesting details and are wonderfully finished inside and out. I wore what I considered to be a simple little sleeveless top on Friday and was amazed at how many strangers stopped me to tell me how much they liked it. That is the power of Phillip Lim. His designs for fall seen here, have me swooning and wishing for cooler weather. If anyone needs me today, I'll be at Barney's and Bergdorf's shopping!
